when I started this blog, 

I didn't do a long introductory post because

I figured I'd post something down the road.

so, to start off the new year,

I'll be posting 50 facts about myself.

it seems like a good way for you

 to get to know the blogger.

1. Larissa is my middle name.
2. I've worn glasses since the 2nd grade.
3. My favorite season is winter. 
4. Lavender is my go to scent. (for everything.)
5. I'm not a traditionalist, but I do consider myself rather conservative.
6. My favorite era is the Victorian Era.
7. My entire closet is composed of black, white, and really earthy tones. (occasionally, you'll find a little color sprinkled in)
8. My favorite holiday is Christmas. (not surprising, right?)
9. I am a firm believer that coffee should be had in the morning, tea in the evening, hot apple cider in the fall and hot chocolate in the winter. 
10. I'm the eldest of seven children.
11. My favorite flowers are white roses.
12. Out of all the teas in the world, I like peppermint tea best. 
13. CANDLES. (I love them, that is all).
14. I prefer instrumental music to the ones with words. 
15. I'm a "eat Nutella with a spoon" type of gal. 
16. I'm a German born Romanian who is currently living somewhere in the States.
17. I really dislike pineapple. (it's a texture thing: slimy to the touch, but stringy when chewed? yuck.)
18. My favorite color is grey.
19. I am obsessed with sweaters. (seriously though, I can't have enough.)
20. I'm fortunate enough to have never broken a bone.
21. I met my husband at church choir practice.
22. When I was little, I got so sick that half my face was paralyzed for a few weeks.
23. I love lilacs, but hate the color purple.
24. Running is my favorite form of exercise.
25. I utilize emojis and gifs quite often when texting.
26. Mochas are my favorite caffeinated drink.
27. I had bangs once. (learned my lesson, never again.)
28. I love decor and decorating. (for the house, the holidays or dinner parties, whatever -- let's get crafty!)
29. I'm convinced pregnancy and giving birth left an impact on my vocal chords.
30. I love movies and series that are based around historical events.
31. I am a minimalist at heart. (black and white is my forever color scheme.)
32. My dream is to live in a white house with dark shutters on a few acres.
33. I got my iPhone stolen once and it was the worst feeling ever.
34. I went through a subscription box phase last year. (I'll probably blog about that experience later on.)
35. I find cottage cheese repulsive. (again, a texture thing.)
36. I was voted "high school wouldn't be the same without" senior year.
37. I can't apply eyeliner to save my life (but, that'll soon change.)
38. I'm a crepe person. 
39. The first time I wore contacts was when I was 23, two months before my wedding. (up until then, I feared contacts because of all the horror stories I read online about people losing an eye due to some bacteria on the lens)
40. I changed my major three times (from dentistry to speech pathology to health communication.)
41. My instagram has been @romanianlove since 2011, but I've recently changed it to match my blog.
42. I prefer cats to dogs. (one day, I'll own a black cat.)
43. I was supposed to be a Christmas Eve baby, but I decided to come late. (one month late to be exact.)
44. I've been told that I am a great listener.
45. My husband is five years older than me. 
46. I've never read a Harry Potter book, and am quite proud of it too!
47. I'll have pistachio flavored anything. 
48. Fashion, styling and putting together looks is something I really enjoy doing.
49. The worst haircut I've ever had was a pixie cut. (I cried for two hours straight after it was done.)
50. I prefer writing over speaking.
